How this countdown works
It counts to 12:00 a.m. on November 19 in the time zone your device is set to, which is how most people think about "launch day." Console games often unlock at midnight local time, but some launches unlock at the same moment worldwide. Rockstar had not published GTA 6's unlock times when we last checked; when it does, this page will switch to the official times.
Get ready before launch day
- Pre-order digitally if you want to pre-load: the download can start a week early, so you can play at unlock instead of waiting for a huge download.
- Make space. Rockstar had not announced the install size when we checked. Large open-world games can need well over 100 GB, so clear room early.
- Physical buyers: the box contains a code, not a disc, so you'll still download the game. Redeem the code when you get it.
